Well, it wasn’t always a mess. It’s exactly who you said and remember that they just got here in the last 50 or so years. I grew up in Inwood, the granddaughter of Irish immigrants who moved to Inwood in 1940. Same issues in Inwood as the Heights and the same mofos responsible for it. My husband is from the Heights and he can’t stomach going back.
@mrmrso228

@@ItaloRican7yes Dominicans are leaving but I hate to say they’re moving in to better areas and bringing their Heights/Inwood attitude with them. They moved into the Fordham area and Concourse area and a lot of the current crime is committed by Dominicans. They’re now moving into the Pelham Parkway/Lydig area and causing havoc. My sister lives in Yonkers, west of Central Ave and one moved in across the street. He had to be told numerous times about the music. He even had family members blasting music from speakers in the middle of the street. I believe that was the last incident but he was spoken to numerous times about it. Move in,be quiet and stay that way. There’s just zero consideration from that bunch. They move in and destroy it.
