Im already looking fwd to an update on this one. Such a unique looking tree. Do you have any creative ideas for that hallowed out feature after you do the preservation work on it and it gains vigor?

Thanks for the vid. Very on topic for me at the moment. I am currently investigating a situation I have on one of my older Chinese Elms which in this first part of the growing season, shot out a ton of growth as it has for years and years, but I found a few leaves ( they are new leaves from the spring burst ) that are curled or distorted. Never seen this on my Chinese Elms before ever. Trying to figure out if its fungal, or pest. The majority of the tree is gorgeous, just a couple of small branches of new growth that have this look. Time will tell.....

A lot of this comes with time, you just get a feel after years of doing bonsai

Thanks for the video. Interested to know if there is a reason you didn’t rake out all the old soil from the roots and tidy them up before you repotted it?

The plastic in the middle was wild...wow. How do I know for sure that one of my Juniper's is totally dead? Unfortunately my second tree has not done well, even though I was really happy with the shape I coaxed out of it. The needles are a dull green and hard, almost crunchy...I'm assuming there is no saving it?

Will you be putting this in a proper bonsai pot later?

Hey nice video but just wondering why you're keeping this tree in a training pot..? It got a great trunk, it's got a well developed crown that needs work. Sure the soil was crap (pretty sure it was the soil more than the double pot thing) but olives naturally grow in sand and gravel so the repot, root prune and proper soil would've helped but you didn't really remove the mucky soil from the centre I'm not trying to be snarky, just confused 😅
