Chachere is pronounced (sa-shur-ee). They also make a salt free version which I prefer (purple container). You can season heavier and your food isn’t too salty.

For trout since it’s very mild flavored fish I like to use Cavenders Greek seasoning instead of Tony’s!

You’re fortunate. In NJ I caught a rainbow trout & it was just under 12 inches. Other fisherman who saw me catch it reported me to the game warden & I had to pay a fine. So from now on, I have to take my tape measure with me whenever I catch a trout or bass. Very strict up here

Kathy Sandru ; 👍 Thumbs up for sharing your adventure. I know we have laws to protect our fish and game but, that person could have informed you. I dislike a snitch. Said person was probably looking forward to a reward. When I first started fishing, I carried a Fishing regulation handbook in my tackle boxes. A little kindness on that person's part would have gone a long way. Sorry to hear about your misadventure.

Nice change of pace. They'll be stocking here in Denver in the next week or soon. The fish come from clean hatcheries, but it's funny, they put signs around the city lakes warning not to eat the fish because of mercury. Okay?!

The Power Eggs are extremely similar in size and look to the pellets farmed fish are fed. So it's a great bait choice if you know what's in the water is farm raised.

You ought to try a shore lunch. Start a wood fire. Once you have some coals, use a skillet to fry up the fish dredged in flour. Set a can of corn and a can of baked beans beside the fire to heat up while the fish cooks.

That's how I normally fish for stocked trout. I'm with you on the color. More often than not I use the chartreuse power bait, especially when fishing for rainbows. Thanks for sharing, bro! 👍 Other baits I have tried and had success with are corn, meal worms and salmon eggs.

DUDE, you touched on my FAVORITE way to fish...ESPECIALLY with family or friends....this allows the socializing to be added to the whole experience🙂👍....I use a setup that allows you to be visually notified, even at a distance, the moment when ya gotta fish on (don't mean to steal your phrase er nuthin🤪)...also, was that the corn powerbait you were using? I've had a BUNCH of catches using the salmon egg one. Anyways, I'm ramblin...sorry 😞....keep em comin my friend!✌😎
