Southeast Louisiana Inshore Fishing
Tough days are inevitable, but you have to be able to make the most of those days. I went way back in the marsh looking for Speckled Trout, and I found them with the ole "lock jaw." The way I salvaged the trip was by rotating through my lures to keep tricking them into biting. I would catch one or two and the bite would seemingly disappear until I picked up a different lure. This went on until I had to run from the low tide, but I left having caught much more than if I would have been hard headed throwing the same lure all morning. I'm noticing a lot more undersized fish making their way into areas that just a couple of weeks ago was nothing but bigger Trout. Not a problem, just means you have to weed through a few more "throw backs" (Under 13" in Louisiana).
