I used to mow 5 acres with this mower. It did amazing and I literally bush hogged finger size trees over with it. It never skipped a beat.

This helped me so much. My husband just passed and I haven't had to mow grass in at least five years, during which time he bought this type mower. Hopped on it today and couldn't figure out why it was going so slow. Watched this video and saw i needed to make use of the yellow lever and how to do that. Otherwise I'd be mowing for many hours. Thank you very much for this video.

2016 Troy Bilt Rider. Question.Solenoid is OK. My fuel filter doesn't always get enough fuel in it while mowing. It'll die or almost die. I can shake the fuel line to fill the fuel filter, but it appears the gravity is defeating the fuel flow. Fuel seems to flow, or tries to, uphill. Can I put a bulb on it to improve fuel flow? I removed the fuel cut-off valve thinking that would help, less blockage.

I’m having a fuel supply problem. My riding mower will starve for fuel on a slight uphill and stall. The angle isn’t right for fuel to fill the fuel filter. Therefore the carburetor runs out of fuel supply. Dies.

If I’m not mistaken I think the button you are talking about looks like a triangle by the ignition. If it is you hold that button while parked , a light should come on solid red. That is so you can have the blades on while driving in reverse

These are great mowers for the money .I have the twin to this mower Murray select 17.5hp 42"cut CVT belt driven transmission. My dad has a troybilt 15.5hp w/42"cut.It still runs good, but the rear end gave up the ghost. We believe the trans got messed up loading and unloading on and off a trailer with a short ramp, causing the mower's deck to get caught on the break-angle where the ramp folds up.

I would take it back to the dealer you got it from if it is that bad.. i am not a mechanic by any means but you could try dropping the blade assembly and re installing it making sure all bolts and everything are Secure also make sure the blades are secured as well. There are plenty of videos on here showing you how to properly do so. If that doesn’t help take it back.. and for future reference when you are at the store most stores have them outside with a little bit of gas in them. Just turn it on and make sure everything is in working condition before buying.. hope this helps let me know the outcome!
