Used your videos from first to last to work on my Troy Bilt transmission. Torn it down and replaced what was need. It works great! You did a wonderful job - A BIG THANK YOU!!!

I just got a Troy bilt horse from a friend of mine. It made a rattling noise when the tines hit the dirt. I noticed the main shaft moves back and forth almost a half inch! Your videos will be very helpful when I dig into this unit. THANKS!!

Filming projects seems to be the best answer I've seen to having extra parts at the end.

That forward outer race should be tighter than what you ended up with. You used to be able to get outer races with differing diameters for slightly worn bores. Knurling the bore is another option.

You have to look under the "Legacy" selection in the year section. Try the link I put in the description of this video.

Any chance you have some part #'s for the shims you used on the end cap that you said you purchased? I'm gonna be doing the same thing and have way to much end play so need shims. Bearing #'s would be nice also...Thanks, Mike

Turbinedoctor, when you removed the PTO shaft, was there a ridge on the inside of the tiller end housing?

What model/year/serial# is your tiller? My TBTiller is similar to yours but I cannot find a similar model parts diagram on partstree.com, and they have over 200 models listed. Thanks for your videos; they have been very helpful in my TBT repair/rebuild.

Mine is not the Horse PTO model.

Never mind sir.. It would appear that the race is chewed up and is what is left in the end of the tiller shaft.

Thanks, but superxpower don't list anything older than 2002 for Troybilt. I have a 1979...

We seen you take the whole thing apart and put it back together which was great, but what was the part that failed? I never seen or heard anything about what that was.
