Great build! Before I went to school I was a mechanics helper and we did stuff like this. Rebuilt and repaired trucks, tractors, back hoes, tracked loaders, rubber tired loaders, dozers, pans, sheep’s foot, vibrator packers and motor graders. Never worked a day there. Just had fun all day playing with the toys! We went from broken machine to broken Machine and kept em moving. If everything was moving I got to drive a dump truck. Never worked a minute.

not really. There is a gap between the ends of the perches and the cross piece so I suspect they simply elongated the bolt holes to make them adjustable.

#1 we didn't want to spend the extra money #2 the dump body we had for it wouldn't of fit if we had installed that cab extension (the body would of rubbed against the back of the cab). However it would of been nice to have that because it is a little tight in there 😀
