Modest, no ego selfies, showcases natures beauty , drives a 4x4 converted into his hme away from home and camps and fly fishes SOLO... That what most kids can't do is be by themselves trapped with just their thoughts and their own company and thrive . This kids trying that and seems to be content by himself. Outdoor show in the making pretty much

Thought I'd pass on a couple of trout fishing tips for ya. Try fishing the lures from upstream to downstream. Trout face into the moving water. That's where their food comes from. It's not natural for them to see food coming from behind. On big streams it's also effective to cast across the stream and let the lure sweep down and across the moving water. Also, you may want to try Panther Martin spinners. The offset blade causes them to spin easier in moving water. The black Panther Martin with gold blade and yellow spots is my fave. You're fishing beautiful water 😀

@KaliAndy2

Oh no! Snobby fly fisherman are the worst. Up there with snobby vegans. Care way too much about others choices and preferences. Own a couple fly rods but its in no way superior to other methods. Some spots fly rod only way to go, others there is no way you can get a fly where you need. Also looking at high flows and early season in higher elevation = no bugs = fly rod useless.

I am far from an expert but let me give you some tips for trout fishing you might try on your next trip. Spend a little time in the bottoms of the pools, but spend most of your time at the head of the pools. Most trout and the biggest trout will be at the head waiting for food to wash in from upstream. Cast upstream and drag the bait downstream as that is the natural direction of the food going downstream. Not that you can't catch fist pulling upstream, but downstream is best. Don't just fish the big pools, look for any pool and eddy current below rocks. Fish need to conserve energy and won't stay out in direct current. Also, some small holes will hold some surprising fish.

My suggestions for fishing for trout is to fish riffles, rapids, and just somewhat faster moving water over fishing in pools... If I do fish a pool, I generally use a float. Also using polarized glasses helps a lot while fishing.

Fishing moving water tips. White caps means rock and trout hide infront and behind because they can stay still easy and the current brings the food to them. Current just watch some fly fishing vids on reading current and that will give you great insight on river fishing.

Nice work. If you're using a spinning outfit on the steam, try using a powerbait atomic teaser tube jig. Pearl and orange or pearl and yellow seem to be the best colors. I like the 1/16 ounce the best. Should get you into some nice fish. Tight lines!
@devinbrita3770

Awesome video man! Another lure you should try is just an 1/8 ounce kastmaster! Enough weight that you don’t need the split shot, but the fish love it! Try either just the straight gold, or rainbow color works great as well. I use both of those on tough days and always have success... keep up the videos though there so much fun to watch!

Hey man, great video and awesome scenery. I do some fishing videos on my channel and you walked by a ton of places I thought would hold fish and fished in large still holes that usually don't hold fish. Wild rainbows and wild fish like to lay in seams where fast currents transition to slow water or at the top of deep holes where the fast water pours into. They like to feel safe and able to move into fast water to get away from danger. You need to take up fly fishing as well which is a ton of fun!
