Dear Betty. This story of kevin has been very inspiring. Kindly try to find KEVIN again to have a follow up story on how he is doing. He just seem to be a very smart, humble, disciplined, highly intellectual and also hardworking. We really need such individuals as mentors in business.

Oh yes. In USA its all about effort. Opportunities are plenty. You only need to roll up your sleeves and engage the market. Business lines are so well structured and organised. You transport goods for companies and you are paid for job done realtime. The trucks are well maintained. Its like the trucks use a kind of " Uber Travel Model". If i own a business in the USA i only need to dial in and say i have goods at my Godown Y, I require taken to Port B or Customer X location Z. A truck will show up and the business is done. Lots of ease. The trucker is assured of payment either by seller or buyer of goods depending on agreement.

Great informational content. I think Kevin was very modest when he said “be disciplined.” I wish he mentioned you cannot own a CDL if you get a DUI (driving under the influence) … basically if you’re caught drinking and driving, it can delay your goals in a major way. Because a DUI (or 2 or 3) will make it almost impossible to earning your license. It takes years to clean up your record if that ever happens. But it can hold up or crush your dream altogether.

Good interview and great job, but one mistake Kevin did was leave his truck at the fuel island thus blocking other drivers from getting fuel. Very good job Betty. Interviewing these fellow Kenyans abroad is an eye opener that's actually what we call making the world a small village. If it's possible you could even interview more of these people who do trucking to get various experiences. A kind request also Betty how about interviewing plumbers, lines men , electricians and other manual and hands on people. This also would be a very big eye opener.
