You know there were half a dozen guys, 3 of them with phone cameras, waiting for you to screw up. Great job.

Mate, get them to look at the Australian truck drivers. Road trains, B doubles. They back the B Double no worries. Better than some truckie backing a single. Your a good pilot mate.

all I can suggest is when you are watching your B wagon, pretend you are your A wagon. Don’t be afraid to chase it tight. It’s a little tougher on tires and such, but it gets you in with less hassle.

If you back up with any significant angle between your lead trailer and the pup it'll get completely out of shape almost immediately, not sure why you'd suggest doing such a thing, the key to backing a super b accurately is to go slow with low angles like this guy did.

@@Kiowan918 I suggested it, because it works. Also, not every set is the same. When I was pulling them, our A wagons were shorter, and they were also the tandem of the set. You’re right, though. Small adjustments with a little patience is a good method, but it’s up to the driver to figure out what is going to be the most efficient for them. I always knew, even on blind sides, where my trailers were. I would GOAL, or even look out my passenger side window. Not a hard concept to understand. It does, however matter if you’re loaded, or light/empty, or if it’s slick or wet, if one decides to cut tightly . Really fast way to mess up a set of tires. Also, “backing at an extreme angle” to get them out of shape aka a jack knife, is sometimes needed to park. The concept is the exact same with a straight trailer

I have to admit its a little annoying when all the pull thru spots are taken by single trailers, bob tails or rv's

Not a bad effort there drive, you have the method ok, just need to keep the practice and you will be fine, if you wnt to get a bit more b double insight, look up Trucking in Australia reverse docking 26 metre b double , it has a green frig van on the open screen, take a look at that, it is fairly graphic, has the camera mounted on the diesel tank down low and shows clearly the dynamics of the method, putting the double into a narrow dock accurately. cheers, Bravo Zulu, BTW, I made the vid some 12 years ago. Driving schools have been using it for years, never realised it when I made it then.

Good job I tried it once Sucked at it so bad I knew I would want to make a habit of it. But the man who taught me to drive could back a set with a converter bogey down a street at damn near top speed. But he didn’t have to round a corner like you did. So 🤠👍

Not bad, driver. You got it in there with no accidents. I learned to back trains up with empty chassis. Our A is always our tandem and our B is the triple. Tighter chase, but you get used to it real quick. loaded with containers or flat racks is a little different, just like tanker. You don’t have a full field of view.

Time to practice this in ETS2. (you don't back b trains there, you just go forward, but i still want to lol, and sometimes the spot is too tight so you actually have to reverse)
