I just recently watched the show for the first time, and it's honestly really nice seeing an episode by episode breakdown post watch. Love it!

The 2012 interviews with Rust and Marty all started because of a recent murder in Lake Charles that was similar to the 95 murder of Dora Lange. The two detectives doing he interviewing (Papania and Gilbough) suspect that Rust Cohle is the killer and has been running free this entire time. Hope that helps!

Season 2 of Fargo is an all timer. Watched the movie last week and it's amazing how such small details from it were extrapolated into excellent TV.
