A large part that is omitted from this discussion is how well Bryan Johnson is sleeping. He is reporting perfect or near perfect sleep consistently over a large time period. Holistically, I think this is the largest indicator of his overall health. I doubt he would sleep so well if he has any major digestive issues.

I'd rather know what his sleep environment is. I can't imagine that a guy that spends 1M/year on "youth" went down to his local Mattress Firm and picked out a mattress. Maybe he sleeps inside a sensory deprivation chamber in a room surrounded by a faraday cage and pumps in pure oxygen for his "perfect sleep".

Plus he cites sleep duration & quality, out of everything he's done, as having the greatest impact on his empirical measurements.

@@caseybrannon4975 Surprised you don't know about his sleep environment, that's what he talks about the most - especially the mattress!

Still seems more likely that he is sleeping well in spite of his diet and supplement regimen, rather than because of it.

@@chuck1804 True but people are saying he couldn't be sleeping well with this diet.

The biggest problem is that he looks like a 60 year old with a facelift

If you look at his history he basically ran has body to the ground building his tech company into his forties. So he is trying to reverse a lifetime of damage. It is important to note where his starting point is.

Well he doesn't look 60, that's an exaggeration and remember he's a ginger so his skin ages the fastest.

He seems obsessed with not dying, makes wild claims. Off topic, this is also wild, new video from August Dunning claiming dry fasting lowers cortisol. If you could talk about this maybe in your future podcasts, I hope.

Even if this protocol were optimal, I could never stick to it. Jay, you know how hard it is to get me to take any supplements at all. 😅

He can’t feel great eating so little. Plus I can’t believe he can sleep… I could never sleep until I started eating enough total calories.

He has a perfect sleep score. There is a lot of assumptions about how terrible he may feel, but if he is sleeping so well then I think he is doing much better than what you are assuming.

I think you're wrong about his calories now, that was his previous intake. He posted this on twitter a year ago: Increased daily caloric intake to 2250 calories, up from 2000. Goal: increase facial fat. We've added 1 Tbsp of EVOO (130), 2 Tbsp of Chia seeds (100), and 4 oz of fermented foods (20) - primarily monounsaturated fat. 2250 calories is 10% Caloric Restriction Optimal Nutrition (CRON) for my gender. 10% CRON may be as effective for longevity as 20% CRON.

That's the problem, you want 'a product' that you can buy instead of working on your well being.
