The simple reality is that countries get sanctioned for not being submissive and subservient to the American empire. Basically being punished for being an independent sovereign nation. If being an independent sovereign nation makes a country a "pariah" then it's a compliment.

I live in Türkiye and about 7 years ago, economic sanctions were imposed on us due to a political dispute we had with the USA. After the sanctions, the Turkish lira rapidly lost value and millions of people were victimized by this situation. It is now 2024 and the Turkish lira has still not regained its former strength and continues to lose value. Of course, USA sanctions are not the only reason for this, but we should not forget that it is one of the main reasons. The USA has lost a little more trust after each country it has imposed economic sanctions on, and now they seem to have come to the end of the road. I hope this mafia system will end as soon as possible.

Trump hates it because the US is living off the dollar, if other countries don't use it anymore, the US won't be able to have the exorbitant benefit of being the world currency. They can't just print money out of thin air anymore to pay for hard earned goods and products from other nations. They can't print money and pass on the inflation generated to other nations. There are a lot of times when too governments intervene in good things,. We can see that right now in current real time when we see trucks with aid go into gaza and get confiscated by HAMAS and the people of gaza get nothing, and then the media portrays it as if the people delivering the aid were complicit in actually stealing it.. go figure. We've seen it happen in many poorer countries where the actual examples of dictatorship have stolen from the people nonstop because in almost every situation, even in some westernized countries, the Governments seem to believe that the people work for them, not the government working for the people. I am not an American and I don't live in America, and I just wanna say I don't have a problem with Americans, but your politicians are arrogant. I love US services like Netflix and KZitem Premium, but Donald Trump must not talk to us as if we are his children. Nowadays people have too many options. That type of arrogance is gonna cause a lot of hostility. Donald Trump needs to work on his diplomatic skills. That's not how you build trust or earn respect. They can't force us to use the US dollar.

All politicians are arrogant no matter where you are. At least with Trump he doesn't hold it back smile and laugh in your face while he does it. It might seem abrasive to most but at least it's fairly transparent. The other one Kamala is exactly that a snake who with her policies will destroy the economy which unfortunately does affect your economy also.

THIS IS EXTREMELY PAINFUL AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. I HAVE TRAVELED GLOBALLY AND HAVE EDUCATED MY SELF IN GEO POLITICS AND ECONOMICS . MOST AMERICANS DO NOT EVER KNOW WHAT A GLOBAL RESERVES CURRENCY IS. WITH A 35 TRILLION DOLLARS DEBT WE AMERICANS ARE IN FOR A HELLISH ECONOMIC TIME. OUR ARROGANCE HUBRIS AND STUPIDITY IS BECOMING AS SELF DESTRUCTIVE.

The US is very rich in natural resources, so I wouldn't be afraid of the US economy. What you should be afraid of is the loss and impact it would have if the US loses credibility on the world stage. And that's what's happening right now because of Ukraine and Israel.

@@adanyusuf The problem is the increasing number of trade that is not being done with dollars. The fewer treasuries that foreign banks purchase, the value of the dollar (and its purchasing power) will plummet. This is tied in with outsourcing industrial production for around 40+ years, which will make imports more expensive and balloon inflation even further.

"Punishment" and sanctions will NOT work. When will the US learn this lesson that financial hegemony only drives countries and customers away. The US needs to learn that financial benefits must be mutually beneficial - not one-sided. It's taken 80 years, but there is a far reaching financial move gaining traction in the world.
