You are so lovely! Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilts. My mom died last Aug. I have about 13 of her hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted, quilts. They are such a treasure! They are really helping me to mourn her loss. Although, I am very careful not to let my tears land on her quilts. I also have all of her fabric....only 3 large plastic tubs. She mostly made charm style scrap quilts, so she did not need large pieces of fabric. She got most of her fabric scraps for her quilts from her guild friends. She would use it and then pass it on to another friend. I finished her last quilt, luckily it was almost done. I hand quilted about 13 blocks, took out the basting, and bound it. I have yet to attach a label, but that will be the hardest part.....her last quilt. My mom did not start to quilt until she was almost 50, at my advice, because she needed friends when I moved away. Quilting friends are the BEST. They were a God send to her when my Dad died. Sorry to ramble on and on. I just love your videos so much. I recently joined the quilt guild in my town. Take care.

And I tell you this because watching this video makes me think of her and all the wonderful joy she had for quilting, sharing and inspiring others to be creative with their own quilting. When I watched your video tonight before laying my head on pillow, I just had to tell you thank you for being an inspiration to quilters and sharing your life be of quilting with others. Your quilts are beautiful. God bless you.

What a treat! I'm so glad that you shared with us and your quilts are beautiful and interesting. My mother-in-law taught me to quilt in 1980. After I went to work (in '83 as a nurse) I didn't have as much time to sew and didn't get as many quilts made each year. Since retiring I'm happiest quilting: planning a quilt, buying material, cutting one out, sewing or just dreaming about a quilt.😊

Oh, your quilts are lovely. And I loved hearing the stories! The floral quilt in fabrics you wouldn’t use was very nice but they really got you good 😂😂. I did my first block exchange quilt last year and I’m in the process of sewing the blocks. It’s a Laundry Basket quilt design called Free Spirit. It was such fun getting blocks from all over the US and other countries! We are in the process of starting another exchange with an original design by Margaret Leuwen who has a KZitem channel and ran the last exchange. Thanks so much for sharing your quilts!

You made me remember taking photos with my baby at a motel room in the 80s! There was an advertisement in our newspaper for a free 8 by 10 family photo! I'd just had my son and wanted some photos of us. I still have the photos and they came out great. Lol Why would I ever go to a huge motel room to take photos? Times were so different then, or were we? Loved your swap piece quilts, such treasures. Your peace treasures, the world together in a quilt. And the one from work Lol, I too worked in a hospital my whole life.... Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilts.

Anna, your quilts are beautiful. I started teaching myself quilting a few years ago. I tried hard to get other people interested in patchwork but to no avail. They don't realise what their missing. Life has thrown a lot of crap at me lately and I lost my desire to quilt or knit. Looking at your quilts, especially the holiday ones, made me smile Your quilts are timeless. I know that eventually I'll get back to my stitching and knitting.

I enjoyed the quilt show and the stories that went with them. Thanks for sharing. Always fun to see other peoples quilts. Nice job on the prairie points too. When people signed blocks did they use pen or what? Do you label all you quilts? Do you use all your quilts. You mentioned using them on picnics. Do you worry about someone spilling on them? PS I liked the half tea stained quilt. Gives it real charm.and a cute story.

The signature blocks were all signed with a micron pen...I love them the most! I do label my quilts but not always with a label...sometimes I just sign directly on the back with a micron pen. I pretty much use all my quilts...I don't worry about spills...of course with that said hand stitch quilts rarely are on the ground or table...usually hung on the wall.
