For me: 1) Get out of survival gear, mentally: learn to recognize the overwhelming fears that tend to drive my spending habits, and the things that make me go "off-line" to where I don't really know what I'm doing anymore, or even why. Then face those things by calling on the name of The Lord -- Jesus -- and seek help and refuge from Him: because the name of the Lord is a strong tower to which the righteous run and find safety (Prov. 18:10). 2) Be ready to give above and beyond, as He leads. ... As God's Word clearly says, He's my source and strength -- when it comes to having enough to get along as well as having enough to give (Deut. 8).

Always put God first; if money is going to get in the way of God's plan for your life, put God's plan above your own. Put God's plan above your own either way. God's plan is better than what money can offer.

@bombyo3634 That is the hard part in our lives...... trust and faith. People, objects, more money, etc all at some point will let us down. Thus a lack of faith and trust happens. We don't want to be hurt or let down again. So the next step down the path is continue as we are, then isolation, disappointment, despair. The list goes on and on. To Let Go and Let God have control is a step we all have to take in order to be free of the hurt and disappointments. This world is a very troubling one, filled with bad things happening all around. Taking an act of faith I know is difficult. I started with a simple prayer to God in my life: God, I want peace and calm back in my life. I grew tired and weary of my job and didn't know what to do. I was set on retiring about 8 months from that time. I couldn't do it any longer. I was physically, emotionally and spiritually tired and knew no where else to go. Before that I had tried about everything to make the job work but to no avail. So I prayed. I had conversations with God through prayer. I was worried about alot of things, especially medical coverage until Medicare kicked in. So at tha

moment I took a leap of faith and put in my letter of retirement. A BIG WEIGHT was lifted off my shoulders. God provided health coverage for myself and my husband and upon retirement time 6 months later, that was covered. God has blessed me and my family so much in our lives. The hardest part is letting go and putting trust and faith in Him. I will pray for you for God's guidance in your life. Trust Him. He will NEVER steer you wrong, EVER. HE NEVER GIVES UP ON US.

We want you to know that God will never leave us nor forsake us. He is a loving Father and our only hope in this hopeless world. He will wipe every tear and give us beauty for our past ashes. We pray for a brand new joyful life that only God can provide in every aspect of our lives. Let us pray now: Lord, thank You for being all-powerful and faithful. We trust You with everything, even our heartache. We ask You to be present in this temporary dark phase of life. You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. You are the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. You comfort us in our troubles so we can comfort others. Help us to cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us. No matter what has happened, no matter what choices have been made, help us see that You are always here to heal. We ask You to shower us with healing, hope, joy, and peace that surpasses understanding. We pray for a new beginning, healing from past wounds, trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief. Grant us joy, peace, happiness, and purpose that only You can provide. You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. We may be persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed. If we humble ourselves, pray, and seek Your face, You will hear us, forgive our sins, and heal our land. May Your beautiful will be done, Father. Bring the right people into our lives during this season. We pray for new friends, relationships, and joyful conversations. Let this day mark a new beginning, a season of restoration for our family. Thank You for being our perfect and gracious Father. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Tithing is only in the Old Testament and it was to take care of the society at the time. It was not always 10%; sometimes 1/7 or more. Apostle Paul says it best that we are to give generously. Tithing was part of the Old Law that Jesus said he came to fulfill. I found that after I stopped seeking to hit 10% and just give I gave more than when I concentrated on a number. God wants us to give from our heart. When we have a set number we forget to pray over what we give; we give out of obligation. I applaud for giving more but I say focus on just giving from heart and not obligation you will give more and your heart will be filled more than when you struggle to meet a challenge of the old Testament.
@samgonza1975
4 күн бұрын
Respectfully…. Saying something like this on a video around such an important topic, it’s very important that we take what the scripture actually shows us. The tithe began before the law was put into practice with Abraham giving a tithe and also Isaac promising a tithe. These being of course the forefathers of the nation of Israel. So just stating that it’s a law thing isn’t true. On top of that. Just because the New Testament writings does not include the word tithe, Paul specifically, does not mean it was written out of practice. If anything Jesus Himself actually states that tithing, being a thing that should be done, was important but people would actually abuse that and not also love their neighbors around them. I think God being all wise would have had at least one of the writers specifically state, “stop tithing”, which we clearly don’t see. True, we also don’t see God using anyone to state, keep tithing. My point is, this is a very touchy subject with plenty of evidence for some of your viewpoints and also some of mine that I’m stating. Humbly, I would recommend that this all be something we earnestly invite others to read what the word states and pray and ask God to reveal to them which they should do, not simply state our view point as a matter of fact.

There are different opinions about this. Kevin, I think this is something between you and God. I would encourage you to ask him what he wants you to give. Keep praying and seeking God's will. As Ashley Wooldridge said in today's message, it may be less or more too. Remember, it's the attitude in which it's given that matters. "You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” -- 2 Cor. 9:7. -- Jenni
