One can not be dependent on Government to do the right thing, Government has to be questioned and challenged. Ask questions do not settle for the easy answer. You have to research your issue and understand which branch level. Also Vote . Do not look for the perfect candidate, but vote for the person that can push your issue further along. Also take a look at other Governments around the world. Can't have blinders on. Outside America affects governments operations.

pretty much spot on, however the "government" that is trying to get more power are the ppl that are elected. Just take a particular past president that brought his very own friends and family into positions. The only reason you do that is to help enrich yourself and your family. The role of the gov is to keep order across the board, both the individual and companies. lobbyists and citizens united were some of the single most consequential mistakes ever made in US politics and when we started to stray from the light.
