Me too. Right as I thought I was starting to get a good grasp of human anatomy this guy pops up to show me how little I still know. His explanations have really helped to improve my process and given me an understanding of these things in a way that no book has ever been able to do.

I am wondering why should Somebody have all this knowledge to sketch/draw something. I mean except from the outside of a chameleon he knows the cartiladge and anatomy of the human bones. How useful is that if you are not a health system professional?why do I think he knows the cartiladges of the ears and the spine etc etc?I wish he would answer for all these knowledge....

@@aikateriniageroti6327 for drawing it’s good to learn how we’re built bc it translates pretty well to other creatures/animals. If you have a good grasp of how living things are built, it helps you to come up with more realistic creatures/poses without needing a reference. It also helps to give you more variation in your art too. Different people have different bone structures, especially in faces, and knowing how different variations of bones, muscle, and cartilage, all fit together makes your drawings look a lot more accurate and your characters more distinguishable. When you draw a lot of people it’s easy for them to start to look very similar if you aren’t thinking about that kind of thing. I personally think it helps a lot with consistency too. If you have almost a 3d model laid out for a character it’s easier to turn them in space and still look like the same person, if that makes sense. You’re basically doing extra prep work so that your job is easier in the finishing process. It doesn’t seem like it at first but it makes a world of a difference.

I like that 'nostril' is Anglo-Saxon for 'nose hole'; a very literal people. Likewise 'window' means 'wind's eye'; before the adoption of glass from the Romans, a window was just a hole in the wall, which allowed you to see out in case of approaching marauders, and to allow the ingress of light, but let the warmth of the fire to eke out.

So.. with the different range of shapes in noses.. Im considering when you say, compare the nose to.. a leg, were know everybodies bones are the same in the leg, and its mostly the skin and fat that change the shapes. So which part of the nose is the part that makes our nose shapes so different?
