How about after the foundation ? No setting powder or setting spray
@nikki1400
3 ай бұрын
@@mq6389 I'm oily AF, so for oily babes I'd suggest powder as a final step as well as after moisturizing. Ive also done the powder *after* the primer with good results. What i like to do is moisturize, prime, light powder, foundation and other makeup, powder again, then use a light setting spray to make my powdered skin look like skin again. For people with oily skin, I don't know that setting spray at specific points in a routine can undo the damage just having oily skin does to makeup, and i think it can sometimes make it worse. Like when long wear lipstick is great until it comes off in patches because it doesn't fade evenly, which makes it hard to reapply or to start over to maintain the even coverage you started with, I think setting sprays when used as a before rather than a light after can make what would have faded evenly and is easy to touch up into a patchy mess that can't be touched up evenly. I'd love to find a product/routine that resists fading and movement without making touch ups cakey or impossible without a sink.

But I avoid the eye area- don’t be wanting any hint of powder or crinkle there🤷🏼♀️

I use to do this before it became a thing...but one thing to add to make it look even MORE flawless...White concealer/powder before foundation it will be flawless.. and then Charlotte Tillbury Setting Spray..it will be camera and video ready no lie. Oh and if your oily skin: Wash your face first with a cleanser and a wash cloth, afterwards take a paper towel and wipe your face with witch hazel (which will help with acne and dry up oils and remove old makeup), then do the routine for makeup. FOR OILY FACE GIRLIES! The way she does it in the video is kinda weird, but I do something similar. I moisturize, prime, AND THEN a little bit of powder on my T-zone and cheeks. Make sure it's smooth and not patchy. Then I do my foundation with a damp beauty blender, let it dry and set it with power again. It really really does help keep your face from getting greasy and it lasts hours. My face gets SUPER GREASY and melty when I don't do it. Hope this helps ( ◜‿◝ )❤️❤️❤️ Edit: so I don't typically use the same moisturizer or face wash, I usually rotate a lot because my skin gets used to things really fast (I have to rotate everything from shampoo to body wash to even toothpaste and moisturizer). But for makeup, I'm currently using the elf matte putty primer and I always use the L'Oreal true match face powder and foundation (the regular one) because it's the only foundation that truly matches me (I also use a drop of nyx total control pro hue shifter, the yellow one. Because I'm more yellow toned). I really try not to dry out my face because I know that if I do it will produce more oil. But when I wear makeup it makes my face just a bit more oily than when I don't wear makeup.
@catpride1323

If your face is super greasy, your skin is over producing. So either your stripping out all the moisture so your skin thinks you need more and makes extra. Or your using cream thats to thick and heavy and so skin is making more to push through the heavy cream. Use a face cream that is very light. Use water base if your not, and sometimes those are to heavy too. You'll have to find one your skin likes. Lightweight face cream will change your life and put an end to over greasy face. Can defs confirm that this works! It not only provides a seamless base to work from and ensures makeup stays in place for the whole day, it’s also the perfect makeup hack to help those with oily-combo skin types keep the oils at bay, stay matte and fresh-ish for hours!! 😊 Start light and gently press with the brush first and very light brush if needed… You know you’ve applied the right amount of powder, as when after application u feel your face, it feels silky smooth. ❤

Nothing stops creasing if you have lines on your face. Also, I feel like you just added a ton of texture that will make creasing even more visible. So basically if you are blessed like this girl then you will be fine. lol

The people talking about sunscreen don’t realize it’s only active for about 2 hours. You’d have to keep reapplying it. So for someone like myself who does makeup at 7 am, it wouldn’t even be working around peak hours

@@Taytaypalm my sunscreen active for about 300minutes, Idk if this true or not lol 😂 2 hours isn't that too short?
@Taytaypalm
11 ай бұрын
@@hid4y 300 minutes is good!! I’m sure it largely depends on the sunscreen, but what I was saying is if I put in my sunscreen under my makeup at 7 am and then I went out to run errands again at 2 the sunscreen is already inactive so sometimes I have to choose sunscreen over makeup if I’m going to be outside all day because I know I’ll need to reapply for it to work and it won’t be lasting for me all day. Hope that makes sense!!
