Very nice. Do you have Any recommendations of making the belly section of a dress shirt or casual shirt tighter? Because if I buy a casual or dress shirt in size M the belly fits but my torso and breast and shoulders are bigger and it's too tight. If I buy L the breast fits good but the belly is too loose. Which shirt size should I take?

L then. but the arm seam should be at the right point from where the shoulder drops off. you can bring the belly part in, with darts. it’s slims the back and front part.

These claims are completely subjective. As someone with experience in classic men's tailoring, tight fitting sleeves are the exact opposite of a proper fit. No piece of clothing should be this fitted, as it completely downplays any structural or design-centric aspects of its construction. T-Shirt sleeves should come out at least 1 inch off the bicep when pinched together, to allow for vaporous perspiration and movement.

Thanks for the video, man! I'm ready to try this out but I'm not sure of one thing. I've seen other videos where you do back stitching with the sewing machine to prevent the thread from coming loose over time. How do we do this with manual sewing? Should I tie a knot with the thread at the end? Thanks
@StylishDTailors
2 ай бұрын
So if your machine doesn't have a backstitch setting then you can actually just reverse the direction of your garment 180 degrees and then sew a few stitches forward, then rotate it back and stitch a few more stitches. Does that make sense?
@paulocoelho55
2 ай бұрын
@@StylishDTailors That's great to know, thanks! My only question is how do I achieve that when manually sewing (without a machine) a shirt like you did in this video? I'm not sure what to do once I sew through to the end of the sleeve. Should I do a back stitch similar to how we do with the machine?
