Elaboration, Gordon Ryan uses these principles and demonstrated it most obviously with Jacob Couch. So it may not work on Gordon, but Gordon makes this stuff work.

Idk, the sequence of controlling hands to -> control hips for body lock pass or -> control shoulders for knee slice or long step seems universal. With the exception of techniques to pass to North South, that seems valid. Before this video I presumed I had to control the legs first. This novel way of looking ar guard passing is pretty cool and seems valid from what I see at the high level. Can't wait to give it a try.
