Nice to meet you! I always enjoy watching videos. I'm Sasaki making fishing kayaks in Japan. The kayak used in my videos is a kayak I made myself. And I also enjoy kayak fishing while raising children. Kayak fishing in Japan is still a minor genre, but there are many attractive fields for kayak fishing in Japan, so I think it is a genre that will continue to grow. I dream of a day when I can go out to the sea together someday and I will do my best in the future!

Seldom do I ever put my legs in the salt unless it's unbearably hot outside. It will stabilize you in rough condition, but.... In the Gulf of Mexico I've had sharks come up and bump my yak. No sense in giving them something to nibble on. Rokkit is in a stealth which is very narrow compared to a lot of kayaks. You will get a feel for your kayak soon enough and won't feel the need to hang a leg out. Also when hooked up to something big, keep that rod forward with the bow or you'll get to drink some of that salt.

Jason Reyes it’s unlikely that you will regret getting a kayak. Near zero maintenance on most models and they last a Very long time. Backwater and lake coves are a great place to start out in to get the feel for them. Don’t worry if you feel a little tipsy at first, like a bike, after a while you won’t think twice about it.

L R I myself am an 8 hour drive from the gulf but I make it BTB (beyond the breakers) at least a few times during a year. The ocean is a whole new animal or at least a much bigger one, lol. I’ve been out twelve miles offshore in a kayak so when you do that you must accept the fact that you are on your own. Craziest thing. I tried to horse a shark up to my yak that wasn’t ready. They are prone to jumping when still green. He literally leaped over me and my yak wrapping the fishing line over my thighs. Luckily he was not a big one and I didn’t have heavy line . Otherwise it would have rolled me or sliced my legs before the line broke.

I noticed that you flex your bait back and forth to limber them up a bit. I'm big into trolling and I was having trouble with my bait spinning from time to time. To prevent that and to get some incredible action out of my dead bait, I started removing the spine with a bait knife. I noticed a big jump in strikes with the spineless baits wiggling like crazy when they were fully thawed out.
