The reason why you can't take sushi home is because it's not good to lose freshness at room temperature. I would like everyone to enjoy a lot of Japan.
It's so charming that everyone has glowing eyes like a child when eating sushi.

How do you make that assumption? One group of westerners in a video didn't like eel and so you randomly assume most westerners don't care for it? Huge leap...

I am taking a leap in saying that, but it's based on the fact that I know a lot of westerners in Japan, and from them Ben is the only one that I know that likes eel!! Most others are like "It's ok" but certainly not their favorite. Interesting, isn't it?

Now I want sushi too ! Lol it's funny how the city I am here in Germany has 3 Sushi places despite that we are just around 100K citizen and I happen to have 2 two of these places in my street xD but that probably dosn't compare to a place in Japan since most options of sushi in western sushi places tend to taste like cheap supermarket sushi. If I had a chance I would love to go to Japan and try sushi over there
@nette9836

Considering many western sushi options are crafted by ethnically Japanese sushi masters, no idea why it is coming out like "cheap market sushi" in your view. Could it simply be your bias and not the actual quality of sushi?

How can you not like eel?! Unagi is like one of the best seafood dishes in the world. Eel doesn't taste much different than a super moist and tender version of cod to me.

I am Japanese. Thank you for your good video. This shop is very popular with Japanese people. Some supermarkets also sell it. You may be putting too much soy sauce on your sushi.😊

You bought legless chair as I recommended, didn't you? It's good for waist as far as you avoid torture Zen style not to make legs numb. If I say strictly authentic manner, sushi chefs mustn't be glad that topping is attached after dipped in soy sauce separately. We should turn over each sushi to dip it in soy sauce and put it in mouth as is in order to taste each stuff. As it's so hard by chopsticks, you can eat by hand. That eel is cheaper one, not expensive Unagi. The 2nd guy and doll seem the most Japanized as they love tuna the best.

Hi everyone, that looked so nice and its so good for you to eat raw fish, but i could not understand why they did not allow you to take any home. Especially when you have paid for it, the kids would of loved to of tried it. Well different country and different rules, have a great weekend.

They don't want the quality of the sushi to change due to it being not fresh - makes sense but is a bummer!

Try to avoiding the risk of food poisoning, that’s the main reason I think. Most of authentic sushi menus use raw fish as you know, any restaurants don’t want to take any risks of the food poisoning. It’s better to enjoy freshness there at the restaurant for sure!

I took a walk through a park in Umegaoka on the Odakyu Line that I know. It's so good that today I used a sushi restaurant familiar to old Japanese with only adults not including children. Japanese people take the sushi they can't finish eating as souvenirs to their children who are waiting at home. We hope you were satisfied with all the menu items. 👍

The first time I had sushi I had a similar reaction. I thought "I can live without that." But we moved to Japan, and I kept having it and soon I found I even liked it!
To me tuna has no taste to it. I'll eat it if it's served to me, but I would never order it. Salmon, scallops, eel (with the eel sauce) and squid are my favorites.
I know you were not at a Sushi Train, but has the scandal of tik-tokers licking food etc died down and stores back to normal? Also hope they caught and punished the offenders

As a Japanese person, when eating sushi, I don't think it's a good idea to remove the toppings from the rice and dip them in soy sauce. It is said that this is the way sushi chefs hate the most. The best thing to do is pinch the sushi with your hands, flip it over, and dip the fish in soy sauce. Eat with your hands. I think this is the best way to eat sushi.
