You can grow black currants. Some states you can't. Black currants carry white pine blight. Some states like WA no you cant grow them. Soms states like IA you can. For the states where you legally cant purchase the plants, you can grow hybrids of black currants. Like 'jostaberry'.

Silky gem is a vietnamese owned and operated candy company out of Maryland. The candies are traditional vietnamese sweets. Japan has their version too called kohakuto misaky tokyo. Google it.

Lavenderixi is right, it is known as kohakutou and it is japense candy, but Silky Gem is not from nor made in Japan at least I don't think, it is located in the U.S.A.
