I was patched up the best they could with 375 stitches and staples. I had to have a hysterectomy 3 yrs later with bad fibroids and pre cancer cells and could never have another baby. You're literally insane for not buckling your baby in her car seat in a moving car. It takes only a second for something horrible to happen. To me it’s not a question of whether you can… it’s if you should. When my little one was that small it was effortless. The first time she ever got sick.. or started teething there were so many sleepless nights. Me & her dad would just be awake taking turns trying to comfort her with genuine pain in our hearts knowing she didn’t feel okay. She NEEDED our full attention. I am not sure how I would handle those nights had I been pregnant or had another. But now that she’s almost 2 and we have our routine I can definitely picture a sibling & not feel guilty about whether I can give me best to the newborn as well.

@@SampleSummers Agreed. That’s why I phrased it that way. “Not whether if I can.. but if I should” I have to think of my little ones needs before I make plans for the things I’ve always wanted. Because I DO want a huge family. but I also know the first two years are critical to their emotional growth. Can they adapt? Absolutely. But why should they? I I’m the adult. I’ll put what I want on hold so that they can have the attention they deserve. I’m not saying wait 2 entire years though… a lot of emotionally stable people manage just fine. Whatever you decide, please just be careful, do your research and stay as healthy and physically fit as possible. Pregnancy and birth is very hard on the body. No disrespect but we don’t know the situation like sometimes women need to have hysterectomies or there tubes tied or have fertility treatments which sounds like what she’s needing so it seems like by the time they get everything in order her daughter will be over a year anyways but sometimes if you want two kids and there’s issues you need to have them back to back and then have whatever afterwards like Amy slaton had her boys pretty close together I know there was a lot of medical concern around her having gage let alone the last baby but she was 35 and had to get a hysterectomy afterwards but she was able to have two beautiful babies and have that experiences she wanted before the medical so maybe Trish has a similar situation like we dont f know she may not be able to have another baby after number 2 and they may have given her a time frame that she has to be pregnant by like say she could not wait 2-5 years for the next baby . We do t know and it sounds like her doctors are involved so idk why anyone cares .

My daughter didn't like to be swaddled either, so I just got her a sleep sack. Started using it around 3-4 weeks and she loved it. And as far as moving her to her bassinet, I always rocked my daughter to sleep or cuddled her to sleep. I'd let her fall asleep on my bed and as soon as she was in a deep sleep, I'd put her in her own bed. I still do that for her at 9 months old. But every baby is different and what works for one, may not work for another. You are doing amazing and I know you can find what works for you. 💕💕

I also co slept with all of mine but thats just me. I know some ppl dont approve but safe co sleeping reduces the risk of sids and so on. Love ya Trish

I was told when mine were babies, that they like being held bc they can hear your heartbeat. It reminds them of being in the womb. All of mine are teenagers now, but back then they had teddy bears that produced the sound of a heart beat. That might help Malibu feel more relaxed to sleep alone. But all babies are different, so it's more trial and error to see what works for her. Gosh it seems like yesterday that mine were newborns, time goes by too fast!

For co-sleeping use your own judgement. SIDS is no longer linked to co-sleeping. If you feel you & Moses are alert enough in your sleep to sleep with her safety DO IT. Co-sleeping is an indescribable bonding experience. We co-slept wirh our son until he was 2! & only stopped because we welcomed our daughter & didn’t trust him to not accidentally hurt her in his sleep. She is almost 2 now & sleeps in her crib but occasionally sleeps with us. Cuddling with them all night is so rewarding and it’s truly something I’m so glad I did. If I didn’t feel I was alert enough I absolutely wouldn’t have done it though.

“The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) advises waiting at least six months or more after your last baby's birth before getting pregnant again and cautions against the risks of pregnancy sooner than 18 months after having a baby.” I find it extremely hard to believe that your gynaecologist said go for it when your first baby is only 1-1.5 months old. Plenty of people do get pregnant early after having a baby, but don’t spread false information that your doctor was all for it and thrilled about the idea after you JUST had a baby.

I’ve worked with many newborns and what works the best is typically schedule, sound machine, and swaddle. I hear you on her not liking this one also that’s OK! Try to feed her only when she first wake up and try to keep her awake in one and a half hour intervals, and then only let her sleep for an hour and a half. The three hour schedule is usually amazing for babies and helps them regulate. So basically, awake, eat, play, sleep. If you just stay on this rotation eventually she will start sleeping longer throughout the night and you can maintain the schedule throughout the day until probably 6/8 months when she’ll move to about two naps a day.

Hi Trisha! Its common for scars to itch like that while it’s healing. It’s actually a good sign that it’s itching because that means your body is working hard to heal it, and that can be an itchy experience. I’ve learned that gently rubbing AROUND the scar site with the tips of your fingers (no fingernails if you can help it, or VERY light with your fingernails if you can’t help it) really helps alleviate the itching sensation. Just make sure you’re not touching your scar when doing so. That can be hard to tell too if you’re scar site is numb like mine is. I had to have several surgeries for my endometriosis, so they went through the same area every time, and now that area is absolutely numb, lol.. so you might need to look in the mirror to make sure you’re not actually touching your scar if you can’t really feel that area. Hope this helps hon! Malibu is absolutely adorable and you look amazing as always! ☺️💗🙏🏻
