I use to fish st croix rods for years. I just started using higher end shimano about a year ago. Mainly use my Expride and Curado.

Great video man, just stumbled across your channel and am digging it so far. You have great taste in gear from what I can tell.

Is this a regular Shimano expride B? As regular Im asking because it says inshore in the description . But probably just means he is fishing inshore. Is this a common freshwater bass rod. For it to be a light its handling those snook and jack pretty good. I found a guy that has one for sale. I was wanting it to finesse fish for spots. He told me it wouldn't work. Cause it's too light. I mean its handling these bigger fish than any 2lb spot I would catch. But I wonder if it would be sensitive enough to feel a bass tap on a shakyhead.

Yep it's a freshwater rod but works awesome for inshore!

Have you ever used that rod on say a ned rig? Making contact with the bottom. If so can you feel the fish when it taps the bait? You probably do all saltwater fishing. Not sure it you are allowing that shrimp set on the bottom.

I am so surprised how it handles those snook.

What LB line and leader are you using!? You seem to be horsing them in with ease? I’d probably tire them out.

10lb stealth braid with 20lb fluorocarbon seaguar gold. Smaller fish you can get them out of the structure pretty easily but hook into any let's say more than 25" not so easy. So fun though fishing light tackle
