A truck comes around to different neighbourhoods and You can just walk up and ask for a bottle for the same price as it is in shops. the only difference is the bottles are glass, and you have to give the empty bottle back when they come around your neighbourhood again, which is usually every fortnight so it can be reused

It's literally impossible to please everyone. You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't. In our first Belfast video, we only had the Union Jack. Then we had people get mad about that. So we put the Irish flag as well. Then people get mad at that. If there were a proper Northern Irish flag to use, we'd just use that..but we can't. Haha. I'm from a protestant family but grew up after the troubles. Obviously you have to pick a side but I stopped voting or caring about the politicians and murderers who try and run the country. I just can't stand the nationalists. They're delusional at this point. Northern ireland has existed for over 100 years, but oh no its stolen land, its not British, United Ireland blah blah blah. Like just move on with your life, do you not have a job? A family? A hobby? Northern ireland existed before you were born. Move on. There's been enough death and fighting. Land gets taken, land gets conquered. ALL throughout history of humanity. Has anything good come out if fighting back? You can decide. But all the lost lives and fatherless children isn't worth it. The territorist organisations have just turned into gangs slinging drugs and shooting peoples kneecaps. There's no war. The peace agreement was made, it should have all ended. But oh no There's still people running about like it's a gangster movie.

One thing I'll point out, is that Ulster is not synonymous with Northern Ireland. To use a German language equivalent, think of Northern Ireland as Germany, and Ulster as Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Belgium. Ulster is 9 counties in the North of the island of Ireland. 6 of those counties remained in the UK, while 3 gained independence, along with the entirety of the provinces of Leinster, Munster and Connacht. Despite the name Northern Ireland, the island isn't divided in two internationally. Northern Ireland is the North Eastern 20% of the island of Ireland. In fact, the most northerly point and northerly county of Ireland, Donegal, is an Ulster county within the Republic of Ireland

I wouldn't say the addition of a a hashbrown no longer makes it an Ulster fry. It has literally everything else an Ulster Fry would have, does it not? What really seems to set an Ulster Fry apart from the rest, is the addition of the potato and soda farl (which this had). Neither the hashbrown nor the pancake are traditional, but it doesn't take away from the fact that every other ingredient is there. If we had just set those aside on a plate, would it now not be an Ulster Fry? Haha. If we've learned one thing, traveling all over the UK (and part of Ireland) is that fry-ups differ greatly, not just from region to region, but from restaurant to restaurant. If we polled our North Irish audience on what they have on their Ulster Fry, we'd get a dozen different answers (we've already had plenty of conflicting information in the comments). I'm from Northern Ireland but live in England now and the tricky bit for making an Ulster Fry is sourcing the soda bread. Morrisons supermarkets sell small soda farls but you just don't see the full size ones. Any time I head home I tend to stock up on those and Tayto crisps. On the drink front, the one I miss is Smithwicks and also Bass served on a gas tap rather than the real ale pump. There's a certain cultural irony that as tourists you've been introduced to the NI flag drama experience. Yeah, it's a no win scenario but you've done the best you can! lol.

@@wherearewe-yt Look up recipes for both. The diffculty may be in finding equivalent ingredients over there or it could be very easy! Buttermilk for the soda bread always struck me as something not always easy to find. Lemonade is another thing worth looking at. All are fizzy and in NI there's white, brown and red lemonade. You only ever see white (clear like 7Up) in England unless you go to an Irish pub. Tayto crisps are from Tandragee in Co. Armagh where I'm also from and for some reason you don't see spring onion flavour crisps in England so I tend to grab those when over. @@wherearewe-yt Tayto in Ireland invented how flavorings are added to crisps. Up to that point everyone just added salt. Tayto northern ireland was set up by a different person, working with Tayto ireland, and in the 1970s they agreed Tayto ireland would have Ireland and europe, Tayto northern ireland would have UK as their market. Because of brexit, that contract may be voided. Crisps must be crushed up before added to the bread IMO, and a single slice of bread held in U shape, adding crisps inside works best.
