Campesina De Las Riguas is a family-owned restaurant in San Pedro Sula that serves traditional corn dishes found in the Santa Barbara region of Honduras. They serve RIGUAS DE ELOTE TIERNO, a traditional dish in Honduras that consists of tortillas made with baby corn wrapped in banana leaves and served with beans, “mantequilla” sour cream, “cuajada” cheese, and coffee. I also try atol de elote, tamalitos, montucas, chicharrones, rosquillas, and Honduran soda. If you’ve never tried riguas de elote tierno, a dish that is difficult to find in the cities, you must go to Campesina De Las Riguas to taste traditional Honduran cuisine at its best.
