you are able to inserted some advanced eletronics in each video! Although I prefer more advanced video and repair videos, Sometime is good to have some review video! Keep on doing videos, they are always amazing!

The best bit of this video by far was the explanation of the PA, that was amazing. Thanks for taking the time!

Well.... my verdict is jello effect sucks, USB 2 sucks... not impressed with camera, can have great optics, but if you showing slideshow... meh stand are good indeed, expect one thing, when you fiddle with focus it moves around, because it probably doesn't have enough weigh to be firm on the table. Thank you for video.

For $1,000 I’d demand a silky smooth frame rate, really is no excuse for that, at least the option of pulling a live feed directly to a monitor if USB is insufficient, nice gear, but an epic fail in that regard, I’ll have to look at their current offers seeing this was awhile back.

Just the other night I watched KF5OBS's videos about Wilkinson splitter/combiner :) I presume that small patches of gold are part of some interesting tuning technique. They don't look like random debris.

Are the wrinkled pieces hanging off the transmissions lines for tuning? Looks similar to copper tape, but I'm assuming its bonded to the stripline, and tuned with the lines hooked upto a VNA? You can see a lot of them on the splitter and combiner.

When you first described the microwave amplifier, you said the balanced port on the right was the input which seemed odd to me. The left side with the filter is now described as the input which seems to make more sense. I think you knew you made a mistake as you said, "can you pick the mistake".

"jelly" effect is due to lack of global trigger for CCD/CMOS senor, and is caused by rolling trigger, not frame rate. with global trigger at 30fps it will look nearly the same compared to rolling trigger at >60fps. I know that you know this, but it is difficult to be correct all the time at long video :)
@Kilohercas

TheSignalPathBlog Not exactly. basically you have shift registers that can integrate light, but they integrate light all the time. so at any point, you are not reading whole image at once, reset integrators and start again.if you don't want to get jelly efect, SENSOR must start integrate for all cels, stop integrate, and read and transfer data. in rolling trigger, you are integrating all the time, but you are reading each line. That's why when you move something, image will tilt in rolling trigger reading line direction. it's sensor architecture, not hardware fault. only expensive sensors have global trigger

Linas K there are even more issue with usb video devices. RAW stream will have better quality but worse bandwidth. For example for USB 2.0 i would expect maximal resolution 1280x800@25fps or 1280x720@30fps. If compression is enabled (mostly JPEG), then compression algorithm will depend on resolution and framerate too. More data, more calculation, lees quality.

Neat .But no competition to my 60years old 1000X ZEISS-microscope.But i´m looking for a newer one with at least 3000X magnification but don´t find anything. Affordable or not.
@Thesignalpath

3000X magnification?! DOF would be absolutely tiny. I have videos on my Zeiss microscope which goes to 1000X - but even that is difficult to use.

O.K. Not with normal light. But working with higher lightwaves and converters somehow. At whole there seems to be little progress in the optical sector the last decades compared with CMOS-shrinking fine and well
@Thesignalpath

@@xylfoxThe limits of optical microscopy in the visible range have been established for about 1.5 centuries. Changing wavelength does change the limit, but then it changes everything else about the lens because the numerical aperture is also part of the ultimate magnification limits. There are several other microscopy techniques used when needing to magnify beyond these limits like electron microscopy. CMOS scaling is not really the right analogy, because in that situation you are illuminating a pattern, not resolving an image to look at with your "eyes".
