Song: Tsumiki no Heya ( 積み木の部屋 )
popularized by Fuse Akira (布施明).
This song was recorded in 1974 by three amateur ryuugakusei (foreign students) who were then studying Nihongo (日本語) at Osaka University for Foreign Languages (大坂外大).
The original version was a solo. This version is nothing like it.
The trio tried it their way, "The Lettermen" style of harmony.
The session was completely unrehearsed; just one take and that was it.
The name of the foreign students house where this song was recorded was Kansai Senri Ryuugakusei Kaikan, which was near the Bampaku 万博 - ばんぱく - in Osaka.
KRK means Kansai Ryuugakusei Kaikan.
The three guys have remained close friends.
one currently in Helsinki, Finland (banker).
one in Toronto, Canada (engineer)
one in California, USA (engineer)
