Just back from a fantastic four-day adventure, and we're excited to share the wonders of an island that's so much more than just a place to visit. It's a journey through stunning landscapes, delicious food, and a unique blend of Japanese and Korean cultures.
Our trip started with a climb up Mt. Jouyama, leading us to the historic Kaneda Fortress Ruins. The views up there are something else, mixing history with breathtaking scenery. Then, we took to the waters of Aso Bay in sea kayaks, exploring tranquil islets that feel like hidden gems lost in time. Tsushima Island 対馬!
The adventure didn't stop there. We trekked up Mt. Shiratake, surrounded by enchanting forests and intriguing rock formations. Reaching the summit was a highlight, offering unforgettable views.
Food adventures were a big part of the trip, too. We dove into making Rokubei, a local culinary treat, and even tried our hand at soba noodle making. Both were challenging but incredibly rewarding experiences.
We rounded off our journey with a peaceful visit to the Watatsumi Shrine and a reflective stay at a Zen temple, embracing moments of serenity.
Have you been to Tsushima? Tell me what you discovered - I can't wait to go back!
