Thanks so much for the tip on RF Cafe providing user manuals for the Pickett N515. I have an excellent example just picked up from eBay but no manual, and they seem awfully hard to find - couldn't locate one from a Google search! Thanks again and appreciate your slide rule series!

Glad it helped. I found the CIE manual while looking for something else on RFCafe. I have found it to be a very useful site for a lot of technical info.

I just ordered a N-500-T on eBay. What does the T stand for?

"T" designates a white background; "ES" (Eyesight Saver) is the yellow background.

I don't know about Apollo missions but many slide rules went to space. That's definitely a Pickett slide rule aboard a Gemini capsule with Buzz Aldrin : tothemoon.ser.asu.edu/data_g/G12/Hasselblad-SuperWideAngle/full/S66-62984_G12-S_f.png

I just got my first slide rule yesterday. Mine is by Pickett, model No. 902 Simplex Trig. It has only K, A, B, S, T, C, D and L. No Cl or others. I keep inside an old umbrella pocket. 🙂 I am expecting a second slide rule within next few days.
