I'm a decent carpenter/painter but I've been left to finish some remodeling on my own which includes the shower unfortunately. My other half died suddenly two years ago now and I have everything to finish this job right here and I just needed this kick in the rear. He must have known 😅,,thanks for showing up in my feed at the right time.

Just installed a shower with an extension arm. It’s a good thing I checked.the drop ear needs to be flush with the tile to install the shower arm for the rain Shower. otherwise the trim piece and arm wouldn’t of worked

Contractors set the valve too deep, now everything is done, including tiles, is there a way to fix it from the back?

What’s the part number for the shower valve you used?

I did mine all copper, the rest of the house is copper, i had the tools and only had to buy a couple pieces for my remodel. one thing i do Not like is having the handle too low, the instructions on the fixture say to keep it about a foot from the spout. but i was tired of bending over to turn the water off and on, my valve is probably about 18 inches above the spout. i like the way it looks better and it's easier to use, I also used the higher grade copper specifically for the tub spout connection to the valve since it's likely to receive more abuse.

Thank You, after a full copper pressure side redo in my daughters new 1885 farm house and then finding hidden knob and tube that the inspector missed and I missed as the basement was all conduit we thought it was converted. NOPE. So I am doing it now and I was dreading the bathtube/shower with a false/freestanding 2x10 plumbing side wall for rigidity. I feel better as this video has relieved some fears as I a fully overloaded with redoing this house on my own. ( I am a maintenance man at work) but 16 hr days now for 4 months doing both jobs ( she's not moved in yet, waiting on me) has me a bit burnt. This video help out big time. Thanks again !!!
