They are all very good musicians AND they never left the street. That's what I call "Taking the music to the people... for free" - like a public service. And here, on KZitem, it's like the street, every passer by can watch & listen- all because the fans that can be near them have taken to show their performances to all of us!... Tuba Skinny are famous internationally because of these people that divulge their fantastic performances, and, even with all that worldwide popularity, they still remained faithful to the street, their true origins. That's what makes them great! A fine group that can take on any stage, they still stay committed to the real popular roots. Amazing and Authentic!

Just a little story; Mexico is like home to me and I am visiting this country already 32 years( but i live in Rotterdam the Netherlands). On a december morning 2013 I had a coffee on the City Plaza of Oaxaca downtown and a very attractive young lady came walking by. In the late afternoon that same day I was walking down main street esquina calle Murguia and nearby at the sidewalk /front of the Cathedral Santa Domingo I heard a band playing in this street and got overwhelmed by emotion. A bit confused I saw and heard this same attractive young lady singing so beautiful and it turned out she was and still is the vocalist of the band tuba Skinny which by than I did not now. They are a group of very nice people and in front of them was a basket with there CD named ":Rag Band" I bought a copy which is great and it's made In New Orleans , Dr. John Mac Rebennack's home town; RIP dear man. A night later they played a wonderful set at A nice artistic cafe called La Nueva Babel . After the gig I had a little chat with the very friendly band members including this attractive lady singer named Erika Lewis who made me feel shy, I almost falling in love with here and feeling fine. The tuba player also a great guy (and on this video too) who was almost running out of tabaco let me roll one of his. Drinking many onza's/glasses Mescal/beer and salute with Tuba Skinny and the local Mexicans in cafe Babel I had a really wonderful night which I will NEVER forget. I am proud to have this CD in front of me and still listen Tuba Skinny of course. Thanks for uploading and good luck/enjoy too all of you people

It would be very nice if Tuba Skinny composed and performed a lullaby for the little son of Erika. It should be more beautiful than Gershwin's famous lullaby. Craig and Shaye are able to do it. This lullaby could be sung by Gregory (guitar, vocals) and / or Erika herself. Do you support this idea?
