I take a soapy sponge and apply it inside the rim and the part of the tire that needs to be sited, it slides in place even with a regular pump(the soap acts as a barrier for air as well). With soap, you can manually sit the tire by pulling on it from the side, without the big pop

Hi Lukas and thank you for your feedback. As there is not just one way to do tubeless conversion. There are many different ones. You will see on our KZitem channel as well another Tubeless Video. Robbie is working as our partner in SA, which is the reason he is using a DT Swiss rim with DT Swiss stickers. Enjoy riding your Bike, Friso "DT Swiss".

Park Tool says to ditch the o-rings on the valves. Do you agree?

Hi Peter! everything which is included in the kit is recommend to be used👍 The Job of the O-Ring is to prevent the counter nut to get loose and as well to avoid any damage on the rim surface. Friso "DT Swiss".

Then you would have a lighter bike at the end 😇 But it would be hard to mount it in your Bicyle 🤔 Just kidding, it is sometimes easier to show things on a rim only. The same is true, when we do service videos for our hubs, to remove all the internals you would need to take a laced hub, as you will use the rim as a lever. But for the Video it is easier to do it with the hub only. Enjoy our Videos or like in this case the Videos of Rob, Friso "DT Swiss".

What a mess when you pour the sealant. We do not make holes on the valve with a screwdriver in any case, the white stickers from the manufacturer that are attached to the rim should be peeled off, the rim should be "naked"

Hi Chuck Thank you for your message. Tubeless valves and suitable tapes are available in any bikeshop. Ours are mostly available in kits: Try this in any online search engine: "DT Swiss Tubeless ready kit". Regarding UST: This would be a huge story and is not possible to explain in a couple of sentences. In short words, to complicated if it omes to rim production, to heavy if it comes to tires and as an result to much rolling resistance. This means to many disadvantages compared to the benefits it offered. Enjoy riding your bicycle, Friso "DT Swiss".
