Leon Todd explores the FM3 synth block, using it in combination with Fractal Audio's industry leading amp and cab modelling to craft a custom lead tone.
Leon Todd, delivering the goods once again! I added a rotary block after the synth and a adjusted the levels a little, to use with the keyboard solo on HW star (I have to do it on guitar since we don't have a synth player) Really cool way to add some synth flavor. Thanks a bunch!

Awesome Leon! I know this is a old video but I was thinking about buying that Boss SY-1 to add to my old AxeFx2 rig running old Q6.03 FW…lol yeah I know, but is there any advantage to throwing a Boss sy1 in there or is the older Fractal stuff able to “get it” ? I’ve been really impressed with the Boss SY1 but never really tinkered with the synth block in my old AxeFx2 XL+ machine.

5:13 I drop it before the synth only to equal the comp level of the dirty amp. Good stuff Leon and G66.

Fantastic. I would LOVE if Cliff made the synth block polyphonic. KILLER tones in the box \m/

I love the Boss stuff. But the Fractal stuff is so much cleaner sounding. In a good way.

Nice! Try tightening up the pan amounts to more closely marry the two lead sounds in the stereo field. Cheers all, D

Leon, great vid, as always! Soo, my band wants to cover the song “The Bad Touch” by Bloodhound Gang. Would this even be possible using the synth block?
