I retract my previous position on this. I initially hated the triangular retention ring, as it limited my ability to manipulate like a karambit. But once I put my combat gloves on, I can't ever go back to a traditional ring. This is now my all time favorite defensive combat blade. THANK YOU!!!

I'm with you, ergonomically the triangular ring on the HBB CCK designs works best for me too. Especially when factoring in gloves. Glad you like it!

I'm not surprised to see that you are endorsing the next knife on my list of purchases for EDC (as a graveyard shift delivery driver, ha). I believe you were involved in the design of my favorite knife ever -- a $10 folding karambit that was stolen from my bedroom during a break-in while I was out of town at a funeral. I've been trying to track down a replacement for that knife for years and finally discovered the CCK-03 a few days ago. I'd still like to get my hands on another one of those folding titanium karambits that was stolen from me though if ever possible (by purchasing a new/used one if anybody has any). But happy to know that the knowledgebase of these designs continues even if there is $290 price difference. I also didn't know you had a YT channel. Happy. Edit: as well as the trainer if possible

@@JaredWihongi thanks for the link and I'll keep an eye on the shop. However, the recurve tanto with a latch draw is what I'm looking for in regards to faster evasion and broader accuracy at a moments notice. Would love to give more insight privately if possible.

I really like that design. Especially over the SOCP dagger. Now is that double edged?
@JaredWihongi
Жыл бұрын
It comes sharpened on one side, which makes it legal to sell (and carry) in many countries and States. However it's ready to grind and sharpen once you receive it if you want it double edged. I've done that with a couple of mine, had a professional do it.

Is the tip of the blade sharp on both sides ?
@JaredWihongi
2 жыл бұрын
It is not. Many countries and States (including Australia where these are manufactured) won't allow sales or importation of knives considered double-edged. Both sides of the lower edge are sharp, the upper half of the blade is only sharp on one side. This makes it legally one sided, but it can be sharpened on both sides by the owner.
