Great videos! I travel full-time and work online, 90% of my English students are Russian and the country fascinates me. Moving from Mexico to Latvia for a bit next month so hopefully I can get myself over to Russia. One of my students was in Tula last week. Fellow Brit here!

Tula State Weapons Museum is also a sight worth seeing there for those not interested just in samovars and gingerbread. Supposedly one of the best military museums in the country. A lot of SKS owners in North America have Tula stamped on their weapon. I look forward to your tour of Vladimir, one of the cities of the Golden Ring. Thanks for another fascinating episode of The Other Way.

Tula is known not for two but three primary things: ginger bread (пряники), samovars (самовары), and ... weapons manufacturing. There is located the oldest Imperial Tula Arms Plant (Тульский Оружейный Завод) founded by Peter the Great in 1712. It's kind of a shame to visit Tula and not to visit that place and its museum. So, please don't miss it next time you visit the city :)

@@theotherway9498 I wud suggest going thru the former Soviet blocs, most notably Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and maybe Ukraine, as they are closer to Russia and will be a nice transition. Also Uzbekistan isvery beautiful with its architecture and a hidden gem.
