Forgive the tone of this description but I did not get paid for this show. Myself, The AD nor the costume designer were compensated appropriately. I realized my potential of being a conductress with this show right here. I cast the show after 2 attempts to cast it by the writer failed. I hired a very talented design team that worked for pennies and did not let the work reflect the budget. I made them fall in love with my vision when they couldn't comprehend or follow the formatting of the script and Together created this Powerful Musical. This show is loosely based on the 4 little girl that were victims of the 16th St Baptist Church Bombing that took place in Birmingham Alabama on September 15th 1963. I was approached by a fellow classmate to Direct and Choreograph the piece. Which developed into me basically Co producing and doing re writes for the piece. It was a blessing to be able to develop the piece in my vision with my interpretation. I added a 5th girl to represent Sarah Collins the 14 year old and only survivor of the bombing. She was also the sister of Addie Mae Collins who died that day. I also took out a lot of the mystical elements the writing developed and turned the stage play into a full musical with the help of the brilliant Marion Mario Johnson. He is the composer of the 1st song you will hear in this scene.
