@@yaroubthayer-752 It's really popular in Japan and the Western countries. It's just like chicken, though usually it's more cooked than this chef prepared it to be. Imagine, shredded chicken-like meat with melted cheese and crispy bread. This, is the tuna melt we all love so deeply.

I prefer open face tuna melts, but this looked pretty delicious(although I would prefer to steam it a bit to melt the cheese more). For my tuna melts I’ll mix tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, diced pickles, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic and onion powder, celery salt, and shredded cheese. Brush olive oil on both sides of the bread(fully covered but not soaked), then scoop the tuna mix onto the bread. I put more cheese on top then put it in the oven at about 350-375 Fahrenheit until the cheese is melted and the bottom is nice and golden brown(about 15-25 minutes depending on bread thickness and amount of tuna mix per slice). The cheese mixed in is a game changer if you’ve never tried it!

Okay everybody has already talked about the lack of melt on that melt but you don't put celery AND pickles on a Tuna Melt! If you do celery you do capers! There's enough crunch in the celery and scallion! Adding pickles too adds too much water content and runs the risk of making the mayo too runny! Celery and capers or just pickles! You have to pick one. Oh, and maybe toast both sides of the bread for the slice that will touch the cheese to get extra melt.
