What I love about this game is it really unfolds in a way for you to learn speedrun tricks as you play it. Like there's so many parts where you're like "OH I could have done that?!"

@@ww4830does GDQ have exclusive rights with twitch? I don’t understand why they can’t run a simultaneous stream like most streamers between twitch and KZitem.

Awesome run. Rad is a great opener and runner, and Tunic is a great game! Edit: Also, as someone who played through the entire game collecting all the manual pages, that speedrunner's manual page was a fantastic touch.

i never thought i’d hear silentdestroyer’s voice, much less see him at gdq with all these shenanigans, but i’m so happy tunic was played here and it totally deserves the honor, along with its runner

I've been watching carlsagan42 play through Tunic blind, and then I saw the speedrun... and wow. What a difference! I'm glad I saw a casual run first, to better understand how amazing the speedrun is.

My first attempt at a trick used in a speedrun was in Ocarina of Time, the infinite sword glitch, and it looked so hard but was so easy. It took me like three tries to get it consistently. Then I attempted the glitch to get into the Zora's Domain warp from the Lost Woods. Took me about ten tries but it was also way easier than I thought it would be. Speedrunning has always looked so intimidating for me that even though I've loved it for years and wanted to try it for a very long time, I was always scared to. Now I'm working on finding a game I wanna learn a full speedrun for. My goal is to one day speedrun an entire Zelda game and upload the time, even if it's the crappiest time on the leaderboard. Watching speedruns like this one, where the runner isn't a world record runner, just inspires me even more. I definitely loved this run and I love GDQ as a whole.

They talked about it in the tunic devs react to the speedrun ign video during the librarian part. Tldr, they knew you could agro them and go back down the ladder before its blocked off so they get killed by the death plane.
