Monday 6th August
We took the TGM train past the Carthage stations to Sidi Bou Said, a beautiful, and touristy, village on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. Lots of traditional blue and white buildings. We did the touristy thing and visited a traditional house, where we saw a panorama of the town and drank delicious mint tea.Lunch was at Le Chargui restaurant.
On our way back down the hill we joined the queue to fill our water bottles at an outlet. One young man near the front, seeing how few bottles we had compared to the rest of the crowd, kindly took our bottles and filled them for us.
