Really? I've had my grocery store stuff for over 15 years years now (as long as I've been an adult) and there's no sign of it warping or breaking. At this rate, I think it'll last me till I retire/die. Maybe you just haven't bought decent grocery store stuff.
@kurogane2638
4 жыл бұрын
@@AdeleiTeillana that's the problem modern products are very disappointing and many go out of their way to purchase vintage tupperware/storage. Or very expensive premium containers (or glass), that can survive day after day abuse,the heat and cold, then from dishwasher to freezer etc.. My grandmother has a few plastic bowls and plates that are so sturdy its almost like fiberglass composite and you just can't buy anymore or replace as they get damage. And 15 yrs ago I would believe the groceries stores carried at least a few decent products from brands that manufactured decent products.

I remember how my stepmom got if the lid of her Tupperwares went missing. She would act like if it was the end of the world and you know why? Because they are incredibly expensive for been reusable plastic containers. How many of you have your entire set of cheaper plastic containers that you bought 5 yrs ago? How many of them have you lost? How many are without lids? And lids without containers? How many you broke? Chances are you and yours lost many more than you broke. You don't care about it because it wasn't expensive. You just go and buy another cheap one. This belongs and should stay in the past.

My Grandmother from the Philippines still uses her Tupperware products from the late 80's. We still use them when we're making macaroni salads or to put food to carry when going to the beach. Plenty of uses until today. But one of our Tupperware from the late 80's did break its lid from unknown causes, but out of the many Tupperwares my Grandma bought 30 years ago, only that broke. She asked me last year, "Do you think I can still get a warranty for this?", I told her, "Those Tupperwares have been here even before I was born and our house got build. Let it go." 3:16 OH MY! I forgot we had those! 4:00 "I will come hunt you down and I will get my Tupperware back." My Grandma felt that way.

I like to see my food in the container. Tupperware products are bulky, cheap, and they leak when sealed. Less is more. If I’m buying a plastic container it has to last and make me happy for along time. It has to stack and be small. Just watching the video and looking at the frosted blue Tupperware. Looks cheap and I know that plastic is going to get scratched. I invested my money in crystal clear, gasket liquid locking, Rubbermaid Brilliance.
