My very first car (that I bought new) was a red 1990 Ford Festiva. I drove that little car for nine years. I ended up removing the rear bench seat to have a larger cargo area.

I have a feeling the brakes are loosing pressure due to the hot exhaust potentially boiling the fluid causing all your air issues.

Lol it had less power than the factory 1.3l 😂 You could try slide in new bearings without pulling engine and send it! We need to see a real burnout ASAP

Did you guys finish the flipped manifold 302 ?
@thousanddollarcarguy

302? On the Datsun? Unfortunately no. But I will say. The ls is the way to go. It's cheap reliable horsepower. Much cheaper and easier to find parts than a ford 302

would the ls engine fit if it was 90° turned like the original engine?
@thousanddollarcarguy

Personally i dont think so. The ls4 is a fwd based ls motor. From the impala ss and grand prix and so on I believe the strut towers on those cars are wider than the outside of my front fenders. I did think about it before dping the swap. The rwd seemed like it would be more fun.

Heres an odd suggestion... Find a 90s mercury cougar and swap a powerstroke into it.

K so the old trick with trans fluid in the oil is you put a quart in before you change your oil, not filling it completely with trans fluid......but whatever, looks like it was about to die. anyway.
