Thoughts on the plans for the next phase!? Also shirts will be available very soon!

Maybe a GMT400 AC accumulator will work. If your going with a different radiator you should try to get a smaller metal overflow tank and that might give you more room for the accumulator and would match the engine bay a bit better than the crappy looking plastic

Some hydraulic hose shops will do a/c lines too. I'd love for him to get the heat and a/c working and keep the street car status.

There is a Napa in town who will make custom lines. I still need to modify the dryer though regardless.

If you have a u pull wrecking yard nearby, it might be worth a trip there to see a bunch of dryers on different vehicles. Maybe something exists already that is perfect for your application. Then just order a new one for that vehicle.

What brand radiator off Ebay are you putting in the trailblazer?

Not sure if I'll get that one or the one off Amazon. They are just no name radiators as far as I can tell.

The 3.5 3.7 and the 4.2 are the same engine family

Yes, but the 3.7 is the better of the 2 five cylinders for a few reasons.

The 4.2 is a 6 cylinder

Make sure when you put the electric fan on you have a shroud that matches the fan. Also electric fans pull huge amps when turning on. Derale makes a really nice PWM fan controller. Also the best heat shield is the aluminum dimple die stuff.

The alternator in most 2000+ GM trucks are overkill and should run some electric fans no problem
@Hummin_Along

@@joeyh7817 When a aftermarket fan turns on they average about a 40 Amp initial draw and go down to 20 while running. That alternator can do it but it will wear out considerably faster because it was never intended to run one. If you run two fans double that.

Just ordered my fueltech FT550 for my 05. Haven't gotten turbo parts yet but I am 100% retaining A/C and heat since it's a street car. Interesting to see your packaging problems, I may invest in getting my exhaust manifold and turbine housing ceramic coated on top of being wrapped so I keep my lines safe. May be worthwhile for you as well, or re-route my lines around the issue areas. Haven't gotten there yet but we'll see. Big priority for me is including an intercooler since this is a tow vehicle, so I'm keen to see how you route your pipes
