@@xoclur2024 Are you serious lol? do you actually know what the original lyrics are? "O ole Zip Coon he is a larned skoler, Sings posum up a gum tree an coony in a holler, possum up a gum tree, coony on a stump, Den over dubble trubble, Zip Coon will jump. And wen Zip Coon our President shall be, He make all de little Coons sing possum up a tree; O how de little Coons, will dance an sing, Wen he tie dare tails togedder, cross de lim dey swing." Look up what those terms meant when it was written and see what they were referring too, I mean hell even just copy paste that exact quote to any AI and see what is summarizes.

@@xoclur2024 I know you won't, so I'll do half the work " 'Zip Coon', a racist caricature aimed at denigrating the manners of free Blacks." Seriously dude the song makes it 3 lines before it's talking about caricatures of slaves.

@@xoclur2024 Why dear lord was my comment removed? You are wrong. "ole Zip Coon" is the 4th line in the song and just google that and see what it means, it's explicitly racist but YT cares more about holocaust deniers than people quoting folk songs.

Lot of weight on the shoulders of the guitarist here. This may be a fiddle tune through and through, and you can find your way around a misplaced note, but god help you if you start strumming that guitar on the wrong beat.

"Turkey in the Straw'" tune originated from British and Irish folk songs and had no racial connotations. But various American song renditions when first performed in 1800s contained highly offensive & racist lyrics.

Sadly the original portion of this music is a song called "Turkey in the Straw", a folk tune that been around in the United States for almost 200 years. With lyrics clearly intended to parody the speech of African-Americans in the rural South, which unfortunately became a staple of minstrel shows and blackface acts into the twentieth century. No matter how much you remix it, the song is not intended for us. 😢
