this is how muslims do it BUT! :D we dont tie it up, we let be free, and we make sure the bird doesn't see the blade, and that the blade is really sharp so its quick and painless. but this is exactly the right way because u need to drain all the blood out as it contains bad chemicals and other all kinds of bad stuff

Slaughtering of any animal should be quick and humane. Why was it necessary to bundle the poor bird into a bag whilst still alive and not slaughter it at the farm and take it home dead. Then when you get it home you hang the terrified bird up for several minutes whilst you prepare yourself for the kill which you do in such a sloppy manner I am surprised surprised you managed to do it at all by the way you were prodding about to find the place you wanted to cut. That bird will be tough as hell because it was stressed and it's heart was racing at the time of death. Finally why do it all in public where children can see, at least do it in the back yard and not out the front of your house.

Hard to watch the death part when you're squeamish. How long is it alive after the cut?

I hope you removed the crop under the neck....I forgot to show that. Also did you let them age for three days in the fridge before cooking? Was the meat tough? I found this method to be very stressful to the bird and now I just ax the head off as quick as possible, The stress releases adrenaline which makes the meat tough. Thanks for sharing.

it is really wrong to eat turkey for thanksgiving because they are very intelligent birds and are killed 20,000,000 times each year. Look it up! eat a juicy ham or deliceos sweet potatos. and by the way Chef Bart you spelt thanksgiving wrong.
