This is our first time flying Turkish Airlines. It is a return flight from Kayseri Airport to Istanbul and then to JFK New York. This is the old Boeing 777, which is good, but we wish it was the new Airbus A350.
The flying chef is only available on flights with a distance of more than 8 hours. They do everything from welcoming passengers to taking meal orders, to handling the preparation and presentation of the meals.
How this five-star or Michelin-rated inflight chef works is that 70 percent of the meal is cooked on the ground and 30 percent done in the aircraft, to give you the experience you would expect at a five-star restaurant.
Flying with a chef and candlelight is quite an experience; I would definitely come back to take another Turkish Airlines flight
