This is life-changing. Thank you! If you make this recipe, don't neglect to rest the bread coils like the video says. It's crucial for the texture. Resting overnight is even better, I've found!

We call it a paratha in Pakistan or India. We don’t roll it out so thin. instead of sugar tahini butter, we just use melted butter sprinkle flour roll it into a sausage shape then roll it in a ball dough. Roll it out with a rolling pin and gook it the same way just adding butter whilst cooking. Our method is quicker. It’s a traditional breakfast flat bread #howtomakeparatha There are many different takes on it. Pick the easiest We do fillings too. #howtomakefilledparatha Enjoy 😘

+imiKah K It's delicious and high level skill I can confirm that "make a little hole and roll the dough towards out" can be nerve wrecking if you did not make the exact elastic dough. That asks for a strong flour with plenty of gluten. But when mastered it's worth the effort. A far more simpler version is the flat multilayered bread that you can make with a more occidental flour.

We know Parathas are at least 900 years old, but probably much older. My guess is the basic recipe was shared by traders on the Silk Road 1000-1500 years ago, to the Mediterranean, Middle east and then onto Asia
