Fantastic tips as usual Thanks! As a pastel artist, I'd recommend gluing pieces before the Pastel - the powdery pastel will fight adhesion

Great video! On Etsy, I bought a building from this one guy who loves coffee and trains one time. I made an electrical meter , down spout and some window boxes with flowers for it! So cool how stuff like this really sells The idea that something is actually being used by those Little people!

Great job on weathering the building and making it look more realistic but as far as the scene itself goes, there are no man doors for the movement of the delivery driver and employees. How about a roll up door, garage door for the forklift to access the building. I can understand the fence along the rail line, but why fence off the the gravel area?

How's the forklift get out of the building over to the parking lot where the trucks are and how do people get in and out of the building when the entrance is on the far side with RR tracks on one side and a chainlink fence up to the corner of the building on the other side?

Great tips Jim! Since you had leftovers from Pike-Stuff kits you must have has a couple of overhead and man doors you could have placed on the side facing the parking lot. That building has smooth sides so you could have gotten away with out having to do any cutting, just glue right to the surface. Modern buildings often have padding around the truck and loading doors, so some plastic strip stock to simulate that would be easy to do and help blend the door in. Maybe a couple of cars for the employees too? They probably car-pool so only a couple are needed. Cheers and stay safe.

You can use Scenic Accents (by Woodland Scenics) glue instead of super glue - it holds nicely, but also releases easily if you ever need to move something. If you prefer decals to paper, Microscale makes industrial warning signs in N scale (60-924) and HO scale (87-924).

For gluing down the small detail parts I use white glue. I find that easier to clean up/remove if needed. Where did you find the small needle-like tips for your glue bottle?

How did the fork lift and the DHL guy get from inside the building round to the trucks - by arguing with the ballast and rails?, levitate?. You probably need to cut some sort of door out to this yard.

Again a lot of good stuff, For AC runners I like to use DMP wall section sprues because of there shape but it did turn out very nice. I am not trying to be a Debby downer but why did you not put in a dock door so the fork truck had a way into the building to get the stuff to load the trucks? You really made the building very cool looking. till next time Great job.

Hi Great video But it looks like you forgot glass in the building windows Ferero Rorchete (spelling) chocolate box is ideal for that, and if plastic milk bottles in your neck of the woods look frosted they make good bathroom windows, or other windows that should have frosted glass. I have also used the clear festive colored plastic boxes from the same brand of chocolates for colored front door glass. It is only a small thing but noticed by its absents. regards John

Great video and tutorial abt taking a cheap building and making it look good! I was totally impressed Jimmy with the weathering and the little additions to the roof. The chain link fence was a nice touch too as well as the forklift, pallets and the operator. Nice job as usual Jimmy! Thanks again for sharing your videos with us along with your time and effort!

How would you do this setup if you DIDN’T glue the tiny little people down? I feel like you have to just go for it at this scale.

I would have changed one group of windows, that section of the wall of the building, into a loading door. Otherwise, that fork lift has no place to go.

Looks good overall. No where to take the stuff loaded / unloaded by the trucks though. The workers are stuck between the rails and the chain link fence. All kidding aside I really like these types of videos. Detailing is something I want to get better at - and knowing where you're getting the details from is super helpful.

Nice job Jimmy. A question from me about those trucks - I've refrained from buying them as I didn't think they'd be seen in the USA (I'm in the UK), but do you get them? I'm used to seeing Peterbilt or Kenworth with big cabs or Cascades.

Enjoyed the video, the industry looks like it belongs right there. Do you have a big sign with the name of the building, or is it normal in your area not to put up big sign advertising who they are. Thats a question not a criticism. To me the sign really POPS!!!! Great Jimmy

Good, but I would either raise the building on a platform, or rotate it - those main freight doors don't make much sense to me otherwise.
