Yes thanks for showing where the relay is located, I hope the relay is in the same place on my 2001 Dakota, my left turn signal is flashing rapidly even after replacing bulbs, so hope relay does the trick.

@@sladenphipps2581same here, now it is 2024, my Dakota is 20 years old. The left turn signal works, the right rear doesn't work. The dash light blinks fast on the right side, but the bulb outside doesn't light and the bulb looks ok. Could the relay affect only one side?

Thanks for posting this. Too bad I or my mechanic Crown auto didn't Google this before they replaced my multi switch arm, 232.00. Same day, I came, still not working. They pulled the flasher after I Googled this. Fixed it right away!! Additional 96.00. Owner said maybe both wete bad. Won't be going back there.

For those reading these comments, I had similar issue where right blinker went fast, left was normal. Turn on hazards to show which bulb is out. Appeared that the rear right bulb was out. Great, that is way easier to replace. However, bulb was not burned out. The harness was the issue, like it wasn't making connection, so I squeezed the prongs inside harness closer together and put bulb back in... Bingo, back in biz boys. Took about 3 minutes start to finish. Good luck

@ramvan2284, sounds like my problem with 2004 Dakota. Are you talking about the connector where the bulb plugs into the bulb holder? I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestion.

@@user-jp9gr7ik8x yes, and as follow up, I was not pushing the bulb in deep enough so that it was seated allllll the way in.

So you said on the Durangos you have to pull the dash to get at that fuse eh? With that fuse out would that cause a drain on the battery when the vehicle is off? My blinkers are out and something else or this is causing a drainage to the battery...i look forward to seeing you comment! Thanks so much for sharing this! Cheers, Jerbs

From what I've seen on KZitem, yeah it's back in there on the driver's side, you have to remove a flip out tray or something. I don't believe a blown fuse would cause a parasitic drain, a short in the system somewhere might be the cause.. or check your battery terminals, I just did a video on that. That was causing a drain and killed my battery. Worth checking out. Hit subscribe to support me, thanks for the comment!

@@ShareXP great advice on the battery connection, especially the negative post. I had 2 batteries replaced in my 2005 Toyota sienna, found out the negative clamp would loosen up after a few weeks. Had it replaced, no more dead batteries. 😀😃

Check fuses first before proceeding to the fuse relay, I'd recommend. I have a 2004 Dodge Dakota SLT with the same exact issue. Trust me, check the fuses before doing it.

I have this exact problem but my fuse panel does not have that box. If I add a relay to it will it work or is it a dead space

Hello, do you know if this is the same issue on my Dakota? My signal will work at sometimes but then it will stop working and just stay on solid. I checked the Emergency lights and same thing. They turn on but stay on solid. No blinking. Thanks for your videos

my 2000 dakota is having similar problems, my hazards do work so i thought it was just my switch and it was already broken before bc my brights would not work so i replaced it and still could not get it to work, after replacing my turn signals flash once or twice then stop completely

You could try replacing your signal stalk, otherwise it sounds like faulty wiring or a bad fuse somewhere else.

@@ShareXP I have a '99 Ram van. It is identical to yours. I'm here as the RF signal blinks without stopping. I replaced the relay and it worked for a short time then resumed blinking at startup to off. The other 3 blinkers work.
